Álvaro Sánchez-Ostiz is a Full Professor of Classics at the Department of Philology of the University of Navarra, where he teaches Latin language, classical literature, and rhetoric. He is actively involved in the University of Navarra’s Core Curriculum, teaching several courses in its Great Books Program. His research focuses on the literary culture of Late Antiquity, ancient educational theory and practice, and modern interpretations of classical tradition. He has co-edited Literature and Character Education in Universities: Theory, Method, and Text Analysis (2022) as part of the Routledge Research in Character and Virtue Education series.
