From October 15–18, scholars, educators, and practitioners from across Europe gathered at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam for the REMAP Expert Meeting, dedicated to the upcoming Companion to Meaningful Reading.
Over three inspiring days, participants explored what it means to read for understanding, growth, and connection — across genres, disciplines, and educational levels. Through keynotes, panels, and open discussions, we reflected on how meaningful reading shapes leadership, pedagogy, and human development in an age of rapid change and AI.
This meeting was more than an academic event — it was a celebration of community, dialogue, and shared purpose. Thank you to all REMAP partners, ECOLAS collaborators, and speakers who made this gathering so rich in insight and inspiration.
